Next is the 2nd annual Wave Bash June 16-19, at Pistol River. Of the 70 entrants so far, locals will be competing with world renowned wind surf rider Robby Naish and another 26 people from Hawaii, 13 from Hood River, and one even coming from Japan. Wednesday night starting at 7p at the Curry County Fairgrounds, there is a Meet and Greet dinner ($10 for the public) followed by the World Premier of the wind surf film "Walls of Perception". Competition starts Thursday at 10am as conditions allow and goes through Sunday, if need be. Thursday night at 9pm is the Premier of another wind surf movie "Planet Blow" at the Curry County Fairgrounds which will be followed Saturday night at 8pm with the Awards Dinner (again $10 for the public).
